Pengertian open source
Open source adalah istilah untuk software yang kode programnya disediakan oleh pengembangnya untuk umum agar dapat dipelajari cara kerjanya, diubah atau dikembangkan lebih lanjut, dan disebarluaskan. Jika pembuat program melarang orang lain untuk mengubah dan atau menyebarluaskan program buatannya, maka program itu bukan open source, meskipun tersedia kode programnya.
Open source merupakan salah satu syarat free software. Free software pasti open source software, namun open source software belum tentu free software. Contoh free software adalah Linux. Contoh open source software adalah FreeBSD. Linux yang berlisensi free software tidak dapat diubah menjadi berlisensi tidak free software, sedangkan FreeBSD yang berlisensi open source software dapat diubah menjadi tidak open source. FreeBSD (open source) merupakan salah satu dasar untuk membuat Mac OSX (tidak open source).

Open source harus memenuhi kriteria sebagai berikut :
1. Free Redistribusi
Lisensi tidak membatasi pihak manapun dari menjual atau memberikan software sebagai komponen dari suatu distribusi software yang mencakup program-program dari beberapa sumber yang berbeda, tidak memerlukan sebuah royalti.
2. Kode Sumber
Program harus menyertakan kode sumber, dan harus mengizinkan distribusi kode sumber maupun bentuk jadi. Kode sumber harus dalam bentuk yang diinginkan sehingga programmer dapat memodifikasi program itu.
3. Berasal Pekerjaan
Lisensi harus memungkinkan modifikasi dan pekerjaan turunan, serta harus memungkinkan mereka untuk didistribusikan di bawah persyaratan yang sama seperti lisensi perangkat lunak asli.
4. Kode Integritas Source Penulis
Lisensi dapat membatasi kode sumber didistribusikan dalam bentuk modifikasi hanya jika lisensi mengizinkan distribusi "file patch" dengan kode sumber untuk tujuan memodifikasi program tersebut pada masa pembuatan. Lisensi mungkin mensyaratkan hasil kerja turunan untuk membawa nama atau versi yang berbeda dari perangkat lunak asli.
5. Tidak Ada Diskriminasi Terhadap Individu atau Kelompok
Lisensi tidak boleh membatasi seseorang dari memanfaatkan program dalam bidang tertentu dari usaha. Misalnya, tidak boleh melarang program untuk digunakan dalam bisnis, atau digunakan untuk penelitian genetik.
6. Distribusi
Hak-hak yang melekat pada program harus berlaku untuk semua untuk siapa program ini didistribusikan tanpa perlu eksekusi dari suatu lisensi tambahan oleh pihak-pihak lain.
7. Lisensi Tidak Harus Spesifik untuk sebuah Produk
Hak-hak yang melekat pada program tidak harus bergantung pada bagian program sedang dari suatu distribusi software tertentu.
8. Lisensi Tidak Harus Membatasi Software Lain-lain
Lisensi tidak boleh menempatkan batasan pada perangkat lunak lain yang didistribusikan bersama dengan software berlisensi. Sebagai contoh, lisensi tidak boleh memaksa bahwa semua program lain yang didistribusikan pada media yang sama harus bersifat open source software.
9. Lisensi Harus Netral Teknologi
Tidak ada ketentuan dari lisensi tersebut dapat didasarkan pada setiap teknologi individu atau gaya antarmuka.

Latar belakang pemberian lisensi open source
Adanya sistem Hak Cipta untuk program komputer berpemilik menghalangi masyarakat untuk mendapat manfaat dari program komputer. Tidak pihak semua pihak tidak menerima konsep kepemilikan tersebut diatas, Richard Stallman beranggapan bahwa perangkat lunak merupakan sesuatu yang seharusnya boleh selalu dimodifikasi. Menurutnya menyamakan Hak Cipta program komputer dengan barang cetakan merupakan perampasan kemerdekaan berkreasi.
Dengan demikian muncullah era Open Source yang menghasilkan banyak Open Source software. Open Source Software (OSS), menurut Esther Dyshon didefinisikan sebagai perangkat lunak yang dikembangkan secara gotong royong tanpa koordinasi resmi, dengan menggunakan kode program (Source Code) yang tersedia secara bebas serta didistribusikan melalui internet.

Dengan definisi tadi, maka untuk pengguna OSS mempunyai beberapa hak yang dijamin oleh Open Source
1.Untuk membuat salinan program, dan mendistribusikan program tersebut.
2.Untuk mengakses Source Code, sebelum melakukan perubahan.
3.Melakukan perbaikan pada program.
Dengan semakin tersebarnya Open Source, dikalangan pengguna komputer, kemudian berkembanglah sistem lisensi Open Source.

Berbagai jenis lisensi open source
Dengan munculnya sistem lisensi maka menjadikan Open Source sebagai suatu alternatif perkembangan program komputer yang memiliki kekuatan hukum sendiri.

Beberapa contoh lisensi yang memenuhi Open Source Definition adalah :
1.The GNU-GPL, GNU General Public License.
Dengan lisensi GPL, berarti suatu program dapat digunakan, dimodifikasi, didistribusikan oleh pihak lain tanpa ada pembatasan dari sipembuatnya.
2. The LGPL-Library GNU GPL.
3. The BSD License, Berkeley Software Distribution License. Lisensi ini relatif memiliki lebih sedikit keterbatasan pada apa yang boleh dilakukan para developer. Termasuk boleh membuat karya turunan yang bersifat proprietary.
4. The X Concortiun License.
Lisensi yang digunakan oleh distribusi X Window. Lisensi ini hampir membolehkan modifikasi apapun.
5. The Artistic Adalah lisensi yang digunakan oleh perl. Lisensi ini memodifikasi beberapa aspek yang bersifat kontroversial pada GPL. Lisensi ini melarang penjualan perangkat lunak, akan tetapi membolehkan penyertaan program lain yang dijual.
6. The MPL, Mozilla Public License.
Lisensi ini digunakan oleh netscape ketika melepaskan Source Code browser netscape. Juga memperbolehkan para developer untuk karya derivatif yang bersifat proprietary.
7. The QPL, Q Public License.
Lisensi yang digunakan Trolltech ketika melepaskan library Q.

Beberapa fitur yang sama yang dimiliki lisensi-lisensi tersebut adalah :
• Pengguna dapat menginstal perangkat lunak tersebut pada sebanyak-banyaknya komputer.
• Jumlah pengguna perangkat lunak tersebut tidak dibatasi.
• Pengguna dapat membuat salinan terhadap perangkat lunak tersebut sebanyak yang diinginkan
dan memberikannya kepada siapapun (distribusi ulang free atau terbuka).
• Tidak ada batasan dalam memodifikasi program. e.Tidak ada batasan untuk mendistribusikan atau bahkan menjual perangkat lunak tersebut.

Aspek hukum lisensi open source
Dari sudut pandang hukum, penggunaan software open source terjamin legalitasnya karena lisensi publik menyatakan bahwa software ini bebas digunakan dan digandakan.
Software proprietari dapat digunakan selama lisensinya berlaku. Oleh karena itu para pengguna software proprietari harus selalu memperhatikan keberlakuan lisensi program yang digunakannya. Menggunakan software yang tidak berlisensi (bajakan) adalah melanggar hukum dengan ancaman denda atau penjara. Undang-undang no 19 tahun 2002 tentang Hak Atas Kekayaan Intelektual (HAKI) mengatur apa yang dinamakan pelanggaran terhadap pengguna akhir (end user piracy). Pasal 72 ayat (2) UU itu menyebut bahwa barang siapa dengan sengaja menyiarkan, memamer kan, mengedarkan, atau menjual kepada umum barang hasil pelanggaran hak cipta, maka akan dipidana penjara maksimal lima tahun dan denda maksimal Rp 500 juta [1]

Penemuan Terbaru Fosil Kerangka Manusia Purba di Bali

Kerangka dalam susunan tulang-belulang yang lengkap dari manusia zaman megalitikum yang diperkirakan berusia 2.500 tahun lalu kembali ditemukan di Subak Saba, Desa Keramas, Blahbatu, Gianyar, Bali, dalam kondisi yang masih utuh samping sebuah sarkofagus berkepala patung manusia.

Kerangka dalam peti jenazah yang terbuat dari batu itu ditemukan masih lengkap dengan bekal kuburnya, berupa batung beliung, kendi tua dan guci kuno saat tim peneliti dari Balai Arkeologi Denpasar tengah melakukan penggalian Minggu 29 Agustus 2010. Diduga kerangka itu adalah seorang seorang abdi yang selama hidupnya setia kepada tuannya.

Sampai saat ini telah 37 buah sarkofagus yang telah ditemukan di Gianyar , Bali Sejak tahun 1978

"Sarkofgus yang utuh merupakan peti mati tipe kecil dengan ukuran panjang 150 cm dan lebar 50 cm. Sedangkan sarkofagus yang sudah dibuka, memiliki ukuran panjang 100 cm dan lebar 12 cm," ujar dia.
Mengenai umur sarkofagus itu, Ayu Kusumawati memperkirakan sudah ada sejak 2.000 tahun yang lalu atau sejak zaman prasejarah.
"Pada zaman itu manusia telah mengenal masa perundagian serta alat logam. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan adanya tonjolan wajah manusia atau kedok yang mirip kura-kura pada bagian ujung sarkofagus yang kini ditemukan," ucapnya.
Selain telah mengenal logam, sambung Kusumawati, pada zaman itu juga sudah dikenal dengan istilah gotong royong dan rasa persatuan dan kesatuan.
"Tujuan dibuatkan kedok di bagian ujung peti kubur itu dimaksudkan untuk memberikan jalan bagi sang arwah menuju dunia lain," katanya.
Ia menjelaskan, biasanya pemakaman dengan sarkofagus itu diperuntukkan kepada orang yang berpengaruh pada zaman itu.
"Hanya kaum bangsawan dan orang yang berpengaruh yang menggunakan peti kubur semacam itu," jelasnya.

Setelah kejadian hal itu, Tong pernah hampir membakar seluruh kasur yang ia tiduri dan nyaris membakar rambut neneknya.

Nasib buruk serupa dialami Paul Hayes, pria berusia 19 tahun pada 25 Mei 1985. Kejadiannya terjadi pada malam hari saat ia berjalan melewati jalan sepi di Stepney Green. Paul yang bekerja sebagai seorang programmer komputer menemukan tubuhnya terbakar malam itu. Untung saja tempat tersebut tidak jauh dari Rumah Sakit London sehingga dia segera mendapat pertolongan.

Pria bukan perokok tersebut mencoba mengingat-ingat kejadian yang ia rasakan saat itu, "Sungguh sulit dijelaskan...tiba-tiba aku seperti dicemplungkan ke dalam tungku yang panas...dada ini seperti disiram air mendidih. Saat itu seakan-akan mendengar otakku bergolak matang!," ujarnya.

Keadaan tersebut tidak membuat para pengidap pyrokinetics merasa nyaman, bukan hanya kemungkinan mereka dapat membunuh diri mereka sendiri dengan kekuatan yang mereka miliki, tetapi juga dapat menyebabkan pengaruh lain dalam kehidupan sosial mereka. Kemampuan itu membuat Benedetto merasa malu dan tertekan. Sementara para ilmuwan tidak dapat banyak membantu, Profesor Mario Scuncio dari pusat Kesehatan Sosial Tivoli, memberikan diagnosis yang lain daripada yang lain dengan menilai kondisi kejiwaan anak laki-laki pendiam dan kutu buku itu sangat normal.

Begitu gejolak meningkat, objek menjadi panas. Untuk membakar tirai, baju atau benda lain yang mudah terbakar hanya perlu beberapa percikan panas. Vincent menulis buku ini berdasarkan penelitiannya dalam bidang parapsikologi pada tahun 1967.

Kelebihan manusia-manusia tersebut yang mampu membakar benda-benda disekitarnya memang merupakan suatu kelebihan sendiri, tetapi bila tidak dapat mengontrol kekuatannya tersebut kelebihannya itu dapat menjadi suatu kutukan tersendiri.

SHC atau Spontaneous Human Combustion adalah sesuatu yang berkenaan dengan sebuah keyakinan bahwa tubuh manusia dapat terbakar dengan begitu saja tanpa pemicu dari luar. Begitu banyak spekulasi dan kontroversi yang ditimbulkan SHC yang tidak pernah terbukti sebagai peristiwa alamiah. Teori dan hipotesa yang ada hanya sebatas bagaimana SHC bisa terjadi.

Apa Kata Para Ilmuan?

Para Ilmuan yang selalu mengesampingkan sisi mistik dari segala sesuatu memiliki sebuah hipotesa yang disebut dengan "The Wick Effect". Dimana pakaian sang korban basah oleh keringatnya sendiri yang mengandung lemak dan berubah menjadi sumbu yang bersifat seperti lilin. Kemungkinan lainnya, para korban SHC terbakar akibat listrik statik. Tapi kemungkinan terakhir ini memerlukan kejadian yang sangat ekstrem yang hampir tidak mungkin terjadi tanpa bantuan alat. Dan kedua kemungkinan di atas semakin tidak masuk akal karena beberapa sebab: 1. Jauh dari benda-benda atau zat-zat yang mudah terbakar, 2. Tersedianya banyak air, 3. Oksigen dalam tubuh manusia sangat tidak memungkinkan untuk menciptakan api sekecil apapun. Bahkan dalam film fantasy sekalipun, Pyro (X-Men) hanya bisa memanbipulasi api, tidak menciptakannya.

Misteri SHC tersebut tidak terpecahkan sampai sekarang dan diputuskan untuk dimasukkan kedalam kategori kejadian supranatural yang tidak bisa dijelaskan oleh ilmu pengetahuan.

Korbannya Siapa Aja?

Ini adalah sisa dari tubuh Dr. John Bentley (Gambar di kiri) yang meninggal akbitan SHC di Penssylvania pada tahun 1966. Titik di mana tubuhnya terbaring memang ikut terbakar, tetapi ruangan di sekitarnya sama sekali tidak terbakar dan bahkan tidak ditemukan jejak hitam atau hangus sama sekali. Para ahli menyatakan bahwa dari bukti-bukti yang ada menunjukan bahwa tubuh korban terbakar dengan begitu hebat dan hancur dalam beberapa detik saja. Dimana untuk menghancurkan tubuh seperti itu diperlukan panas api dengan kekuatan yang besar yang tentunya akan membakar tidak hanya ruangan tempat korban berbaring tapi keseluruhan rumah korban pun seharusny ikut terbakar. Hanya dari kakinya yang tersisa sajalah, sang korban dapat di kenal.

Gambar diatas adalah sisa dari jenasah Nyonya Mary Hardy Reeser (dikenal dengan sebutan "Wanita Bara") dari Florida pada bulan July tahun 1951. Sisa mayatnya yang dapat ditemukan hanyalah tengkoraknya yang telah menciut dengan begitu hebat sampai hanya sebesar buah jeruk. Hal ini menambahkan misteri baru pada SHC, entah mengapa tengkorak korban bisa menciut sedemikian rupa.

Korban lainnya yang meninggal diantaranya Robert Francis Bailey, George I. Mott, Jeannie Saffin, Helen Conway dan Henry Thomas. Sedangkan korban SHC yang selamat Jack Angel dan Wilfred Gowthorpe. Dan juga tentunga Profesor H (yang tidak mau disebutkan namanya) yang bajunya secara tiba-tiba dan tanpa pemicu apapun terbakar didepan mahasiswa ketika sedang memberikan kuliah. Dan tentunya masih banyak lagi korbannya yang kemungkinan besar -- tapi belum dapat di pastikan - korban SHC.

Spontaneous Human Combustion (SHC) atau pembakaran spontan manusia adalah fenomena ketika seorang manusia terbakar menjadi abu tanpa sebab yang diketahui secara pasti. Peristiwa Ini dianggap sebagai salah satu misteri terbesar yang masih belum terjawab, bahkan setelah 350 tahun sejak kasus pertama dilaporkan.

Fenomena SHC pertama kali diketahui secara luas oleh publik dari seorang ahli anatomi Denmark bernama Thomas Bartholin. Pada tahun 1663, ia menceritakan bagaimana seorang wanita di Paris ditemukan telah menjadi abu dan asap di atas tempat tidurnya. Anehnya, matras jerami tempat ia berbaring sama sekali tidak gosong.

Pada tahun 1673, fenomena ini mulai mendapat perhatian cukup besar ketika seorang Perancis bernama Jonas Dupont mempublikasikan kasus-kasus SHC yang berhasil dikumpulkannya dalam sebuah buku yang berjudul “De Incendiis Corporis Humani Spontaneis”.
Beberapa Teori Penyebab SHC

Ada banyak teori yang berusaha menjelaskan penyebab peristiwa aneh ini. Teori-teori ini pada awalnya diajukan dengan melihat pola yang ada pada para korban.

Teori-teori tersebut adalah :

Alkohol
Kebanyakan korban SHC adalah alkoholik. Ada beberapa klaim yang mengatakan bahwa seorang peminum alkohol dapat mencapai level dimana alkohol di dalam darahnya dapat membuatnya terbakar. Namun teori ini dianggap tidak berdasar karena ethanol hanya dapat terbakar apabila konsentrasinya lebih besar dari 23%.

Teori ini menjadi tidak masuk akal karena jika manusia memiliki konsentrasi 1% saja di dalam darahnya, maka bisa dipastikan orang itu akan mengalami kematian.

Wick Effect atau efek sumbu
Teori ini menyebutkan bahwa tubuh manusia ketika tersentuh dengan api rokok dapat menyebabkan timbulnya api yang membakar tubuh. Menurut para peneliti juga, lemak di dalam tubuh manusia berfungsi sebagai substansi pembakar. Sedangkan pakaian atau rambut korban berfungsi sebagai sumbu. Sementara lemak tubuh mencair karena panas, ia membasahi pakaian dan membuat “sumbu” terbakar secara perlahan-lahan. Ini sebabnya mengapa tubuh mereka terbakar sedangkan benda-benda sekitarnya tidak.

Ketika teori ini diajukan, orang-orang bertanya, bagaimana menjelaskan potongan kaki atau tangan yang tersisa dari tubuh korban ? Jawabannya adalah level temperatur pada tubuh korban, Masih menurut para peneliti, ketika dalam posisi duduk, tubuh bagian atas korban menjadi lebih panas dibanding kakinya. Analoginya adalah seperti ketika kita menyalakan korek api. Api akan membakar kepala dan perlahan-lahan turun ke bawah. Tapi biasanya api akan mati sebelum membakar habis seluruh batang korek sehingga menyisakan sedikit batang korek bagian bawah.

Teori ini cukup masuk akal, namun permasalahannya adalah kapan tubuh manusia dapat menciptakan wick effect ini ?

Ada juga yang membantah dengan menjawab: kebanyakan rokok yang jatuh mengenai pakaian hanya akan membuat lubang kecil bekas terbakar dan tidak memicu api yang besar.

Listrik Statis
Teori lain mengatakan bahwa mungkin jenis pakaian korban telah memicu timbulnya listrik statis. Seseorang yang berjalan di atas karpet dapat menciptakan aliran listrik dan voltase yang cukup untuk menciptakan percikan-percikan api.

Namun teori ini juga dibantah, karena walaupun voltase listrik yang dihasilkan cukup tinggi, energi yang tersimpan sangat rendah, biasanya kurang dari 1 joule. Ini tidak cukup untuk menciptakan api.

Psikosomatik
Sebagian korban yang ditemukan meninggal adalah mereka yang hidup sendiri atau kesepian. Jadi menurut sebagian peneliti, proses psikosomatik yang terjadi mungkin telah menimbulkan reaksi berantai dengan memproses nitrogen di dalam tubuh mereka dan menimbulkan reaksi berantai ledakan mitokondria. Teori ini juga dianggap terlalu mengada-ngada.

Gas dan listrik di dalam tubuh manusia
Dari antara semua teori yang diajukan, mungkin ini adalah teori yang paling masuk akal. Kita tahu bahwa tubuh manusia mengandung listrik dan di dalam tubuh manusia juga terdapat gas yang dapat menyalakan api. Contohnya adalah gas metana di dalam usus. Teori ini mengatakan SHC dapat terjadi ketika gas metan ini bercampur dengan listrik di dalam tubuh.

Sekali lagi, teori yang masuk akal. Namun pertanyaannya adalah, kapan listrik dan metan di dalam tubuh dapat menciptakan api. Pertanyaan ini lagi-lagi belum terjawab.

Hangus karena tertidur
Dan sekarang, inilah teori yang paling sederhana. Para korban yang ditemukan umumnya sedang merokok atau mabuk dan sendirian. Korban juga pada umumnya berusia lanjut atau memiliki kendala pada tubuh seperti cacat.

Jadi ketika mereka tertidur, rokok yang dipegang oleh mereka jatuh, membakar karpet dan akhirnya menjalar ke tubuhnya. Karena mereka memiliki kendala gerak pada tubuhnya, maka mereka tidak mampu menyelematkan diri hingga tewas di tempat. Sederhana sekali kan ?

Tapi teori ini dianggap mengabaikan fakta bahwa di tempat penemuan mayat korban, benda-benda sekitar bahkan tempat tidur atau kursi tidak ditemukan hangus sama sekali. Ini menunjukkan bahwa sumber api sepertinya berasal dari dalam tubuh korban, bukan dari luar.

Kejahatan Terencana
Dan akhirnya, inilah teori yang paling sederhana diantara yang paling sederhana. Teori ini mungkin diajukan oleh peneliti yang malas berpikir. Menurut mereka, kematian korban adalah akibat kejahatan. Tubuh mereka yang hangus adalah usaha dari sang penjahat untuk menghilangkan jejak. So Lame….teori ini mengabaikan begitu banyak fakta sehingga tidak pernah dilirik oleh para peneliti yang kredibel.

TEORI lainnya

Agar bisa "membara", tubuh manusia perlu 2 hal yaitu intensitas panas yg tinggi dan bahan yg mudah terbakar. Pada kondisi normal tubuh kita tidak memiliki 2 syarat tersebut. Akan tetapi para ahli selama beberapa dekade ini
mengemukakan berbagai macam teori mengenai fenomena SHC. Antara lain :
Adanya methane (gas yg jg diproduksi pada proses pembuatan kompos)
konsentrasi tinggi yg kemudian dipicu oleh enzym (protein ada tubuh yg berfungsi sebagai katalis untuk mempercepat raksi kimia...CMIIW).
Meningkatnya listrik statis di dalam tubuh yg diakibatkan adanya medan geomagnetik dari luar tubuh.
Adanya partikel subatomik yg disebut pyroton yang menurut seorang ahli bernama Larry Arnold bisa menyebabkan "ledakan mini" ketika berinteraksi dengan sel.
Belakangan para ahli cenderung sepakat dengan teori yg dinamakan "wick effect" atau "Efek Sumbu". Dimana tubuh ketika tersulut oleh puntung rokok, korek api atau sumber panas yg lain bisa mengalami proses seperti yg terjadi pada terbakarnya lilin (lilin menyulut sumbu yg ada didalam batang lilin dan membuatnya tetap terbakar dalam waktu lama). Dalam peristiwa SHC tubuh korban bisa disamakan dengan "lilinnya" sedangkan pakaian yg dikenakan korban berfungsi sebagai "sumbunya". Jadi lemak dari tubuh mencair karena panas kemudian meresap kedalam pakaian korban maka terjadi efek seperti lilin tadi dimana pakaian akan tetap terbakar pelan-pelan sampai lemak di tubuh habis.
Beberapa kesamaan situasi pada korban-korban SHC

1. 80 persen dari korban SHC adalah wanita.
2. Kebanyakan dari korban adalah alkoholik (peminum) dan penderita obesitas (kegemukan).
3. Tubuhnya terbakar hebat, tetapi keadaan ruangan disekitar tubuh yang terbakar tersebut baik-baik saja.
4. Dalam beberapa kasus, walaupun tubuhnya hancur, pakaiannya tetap dalam keadaan baik.
5. Korban biasanya penyendiri.
